The women of the red carpet dressed to impress Mr. Oscar on Sunday night. So, I decided to do my best/worst dressed list differently this time around. I thought I would list the things I liked and didn’t like about each dress. I gave a little input here and there on Oscar night if you were following on Twitter, but I’ll go a little more in depth here.
Obviously, there was one person who got it completely right, and she looked absolutely flawless. I think we can all guess who I’m thinking of… Jennifer Lawrence.

She looked stunning in Dior Haute Couture. Her makeup, hair, and accessories went perfectly with the gown. I loved the necklace hanging loose in the back. I loved the big skirt. It was perfect for the Oscar winner’s big night.
I’m not going to stop there. My obsession with her has obviously grown since Sunday night. I mean who could possibly hate her after these memorable moments?

I guess I should move on from here…
Amy Adams looks beautiful in her Oscar de la Renta gown.

She, as well as many others, walked the red carpet in a softer hue. That pastel trend we have discussed many times was definitely evident on the red carpet Sunday. I am a big fan of the big skirts especially when it comes to nights like the Oscars. It’s your chance to look like a princess, and Amy Adams definitely knows how to play that role.
Next, we have the beautiful Jessica Chastain looking gorgeous in Armani Prive.

Her whole look screamed old Hollywood glamour, and I loved it. Her gown fit her perfectly. Her soft sleek curls were perfect for the look she was going for, and most of all, I love the fact the she rocked bold red lips. It was the perfect touch to complete her outfit.
Anne Hathaway wore Prada last minute, and it was so unfortunate.

She was supposed to be wearing Valentino that night (the dress on the right), but there was concern that it would look too similar to her Les Mis costar Amanda Seyfried’s gown. I feel like that’s a little unfair because this was Anne’s night. She was the Oscar winner here, so she should have been able to go with her first choice. But I understand why she had to change last minute. It just sucks because her red carpet reviews would have been A WHOLE LOT different if she had went with her original choice. However, I will say that I loved her accessories, and I especially loved her hair. She’s gotten a lot of Audrey Hepburn comparisons, and I can totally see that.
So you guys can easily compare, I’ll talk about Amanda Seyfried next.

She wore a beautiful Alexander McQueen gown Sunday night. Another soft hue we saw on the red carpet that night. Her hair looked great. I’m still not sure how I feel about her eyeshadow matching her dress. I think I would have liked something nude for her eyeshadow with the right eyeliner to really make her eyes pop. I know a lot of people have said she has outdone herself yet again, but I have to say I loved the Zac Posen dress she wore at the SAG awards more. I hate when she wears colors that wash her out. I think she looks better when she goes for bolder colors.
Next, we have Charlize Theron in Dior Haute Couture.

She looked very chic and modern in her gown. She is too beautiful. She’s even rocking the 7-year-old boy haircut.
Zoe Saldana wore Alexis Mabille Couture.

I love and hate things about it. I love the top and bottom of the dress, and I can even get used to the belt. I really don’t like the bow. It’s too much. Otherwise, it was a gorgeous gown.
Kerry Washington looked stunning in Miu Miu.

FINALLY, someone went vibrant! I love the bold color choice. It’s a gorgeous gorgeous gown. I’m obsessed with it. The only thing I think she should have changed were her shoes, and she should have put her hair up. Okay, so that’s two, but still…SUPER OBSESSED with the dress.
Sally Field. SALLY FIELD. Who is a fan of Sally Field? This girl right here. She looked STUNNING in vintage Valentino.

I love the bold red. I love the sleeves. I just love her. She looks gorgeous. She’s like Jane Fonda, she never ages. She looked beautiful.
Another beauty in red, Jennifer Aniston. She wore Valentino as well.

She just makes it look too easy. She looked gorgeous on Sunday night. I can’t really say I hate anything about her dress or her hair or anything!
In my opinion, everyone brought their A game. Obviously, there is always going to be some misses, but I felt there wasn’t really a need for a best and worst. I’ll let the others categorize everyone.
What did you guys think of all the red carpet fashion this year? Who would you put on your best and worst dressed list? Let me know!
Until next time..
